Ensenada Sunday Afternoon

Ensenada’s Sunday afternoons are jumping with music at the Papas & Beer Cantina, a very well known establishment located at the corner of Ruiz and 1st Street.  Papas & Beer is one of the best places in town for locals and visitors to enjoy their favorite drinks and appetizers, watch current sporting events, and listen to some of the finest Cover bands in Ensenada.  This afternoon wasn’t the exception, with the group “The Light” playing some very fine tuned songs.

The Light BandOn lead vocals the band features the very talented Liz Diaz.  This lady is a genuine pleasure to watch and hear on songs as diverse as Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep”, Rocio Duroal’s “Ya te olvide”, Lorde’s “Royals”, or our very own Tijuanense Julieta Venegas’ “Eres para mi”.  The group is very entertaining, and they have a great variety of well rehearsed tunes.

The band also featured Horacio Borbon on lead and backup vocals, and the audience loved his rendition of “Se que es tarde ya” a Ska song made popular by Inspector, a Mexican band.

Pedro Rivas on guitar, Oscar Corbala on bass, Jesus Uranga on keyboards, and Ismael Reyes on drums Completed the lineup of this very talented group of musicians.  I highly recommend them.  The group plays every Friday and Saturday at the Papas & Beer Sports Bar, and every Sunday at La Terraza of the Papas & Beer Cantina.
